West Mesquite’s #5 led the way with 11 points as the Wranglers beat Poteet Pirates 52-50 in a game at West Mesquite.

5’s points came on 4 field goals and 1 three pointer during the game.

Javonte Valdes added 12. Poteet fell to 10-5 overall while West Mesquite improved their record to 1-0.

Poteet’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Feb. 1 at 5:00pm versus Lancaster.
