Hoggard Vikings cruises by Topsail Pirates 28-7 in North Carolina high school football game

Hoggard High School quarterback Sam Jones picked up 166 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to guide the Hoggard Vikings to a 28-7 win over the Topsail Pirates on Friday night at Hampstead, NC in a high school football game.
The Vikings also received helpful efforts from running back Sam Williams who rushed 13 times for 71 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Henry Heitman who rushed 7 times for 29 yards.
Topsail’s Jack Lambert threw for 64 yards and 1 touchdown, Demark Howell picked up 19 rushing yards and Ronan McGuire had 73 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Hoggard improve to 4-1 on the season while Topsail falls to 1-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Hoggard travels to Southport, NC to challenge the South Brunswick Cougars on Friday October 1. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
Topsail travels to Leland, NC to challenge the North Brunswick Scorpions on Friday October 1. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
