Peninsula Panthers beat Vista Panthers 72-65 in California high school basketball game

Peninsula’s Troy Simpkins led all scorers with 25 points as the Panthers beat Vista Panthers 72-65 in a game at Foothill HS.

Simpkins’ points came on 7 field goals, 1 three pointer and 8 of 12 free throws during the game.

Gavin Guinn added 24. Vista fell to 1-1 overall while Peninsula improved their record to 2-0.

Vista’s next game is scheduled to be played at Foothill HS on Tuesday Nov. 22 versus California. Peninsula will host Capistrano Valley on Wednesday Nov. 23
